What the hell happened?! We've entered a new year again. It scares me a little bit, how 2014 flew by in the blink of an eye. What?! Anyway I hope everyone had an amazing New Years Eve, mine was EPIC!! How could it not be when my best friend got married and I was a brides maid?..
So in the days leading up to the wedding I had my nails (gel manicure), and hair done (new color for a new year). As for my nails, I got white gel polish with gold "splatter", my nails will now be flawless for a few weeks which saves me the hassle of painting and re-painting.. Unfortunately the lady who did them wasn't very friendly which made the experience kind of meh.. Won't be going back there again, that's for sure. As for my hair. I got a dark reddish brown shade, and I love it!! The lady who did my hair on the other hand was super friendly. I got it done at salong Hårklippet at Odenplan in Stockholm. I've been there a few times before and I really like it. It's affordable and they're friendly. The best part?! The massage chairs at the hair washing station.. Yep..

As for NYE itself. I had spent the night before at my best friends parent's place (the bride to be), it was myself, her and two of her other girlfriends. We drank wine, did facials and watched "Bride Wars"..
The next day we had an early start, we all took showers before getting a ride to the church (I went in my pjs and bear robe. Yep..), where two lovely girls were waiting to do our hair and make-up. My hair took over TWO HOURS because it's so thick and they were trying to figure out how to do the style and not have a million and one bobby pins showing... My make-up was way quicker and it looked absolutely stunning!!
The wedding ceremony went almost 100% smoothly and the following dinner was delicious. Lebanese buffet, I mean..... YUM!!!!!!! Need I say my dress (gown), was a bit tighter at the end of the evening? The reception/after party was held at Hammarby Roddklubb and at midnight we all went out on the balcony and welcomed the new year, with champagne of course. Those of you who know me knows that I have a horrible phobia of fireworks (after a traumatizing incident as a kid..) and I absolutely refuse to go outside unless I've had quite a bit to drink first (sad, but true..). HAHA, last year I stayed indoors alone while everyone else at the party was outside... but since I was at a wedding I was prepared. HAHA.
The after party ended at around 2 AM and one of my closest guy friends invited me over to his place out in Sollentuna (they have a NYE party every year for friends and family). So I decided to go there instead of heading home which was much closer haha. He ended up meeting me at the bus stop near his place at slightly after 3 I think, and me and him + his brother and brother's friend and two of our other friends ended up drinking and playing card games until around 5:30 AM, before deciding to call it a night (I had to borrow a t-shirt from him because I only had my dress and it's not ideal for sleeping in..). So I shared a bed/guest room with my two girl friends and we all passed out rather quickly..
The next day I went home in my gown and yeah, it was an awesome evening filled with laughter, dancing, alcohol, friends and love. I couldn't have asked for a better evening/night!! So thanks to everyone who made it epic!! Let's make this year the best one ever!!!!
