So yesterday (Friday the 31st of July), was my beloved mother's 50th b'day!
Unfortunately I was not able to celebrate with her as I'm here in Sweden working, and she's across the pond in Singapore. Oh well, we'll just have to celebrate when she gets back :D cake, party and gifts..
I did spend yesterday saying good bye to two close friends *sad face* Fabian is going to hitchhike in New Zealand (you crazy bastard!), and Cosima is moving to Malmö. Both are leaving tomorrow and I will miss them both so much!! I guess I'll have to comfort myself with the fact that it isn't "good bye" but "see you later". Whenever that may be.... It was still a good night though :)
On Wednesday we (Noor and I) said "bye" to Keah, a lovely American girl we met here in Stockholm via meetup. She works for a magazine based in Hong Kong, so she travels a lot for work being stationed in every place for about three months. Her next destination is, wait for it...... JAPAN!!! I've never been to Japan. Never had the chance to go and visit my ex bf when he was living there... But Japan is definitely on my bucket list of places to go, so now Noor and I are seriously considering going to visit Keah in Tokyo this winter. I'll try to plan it so that we'll have one week there and then I'll fly from Tokyo to the US of A for 2,5 weeks to visit some friends there. I'm not taking out any vacation days this summer since I just started my job, although I'm sure they would've granted me time off. But this works better for me because I. HATE. SWEDISH. WINTER. For me it's associated with cold, darkness, depression and anxiousness x 1 000 000. So any time that can be spent in a warmer destination is highly appreciated.
Another cool thing that happened on Wednesday was that I was reunited with my oldest friend in the world, Sara. We know each other because we were neighbors in Malmö and we still keep in touch. Almost 23 years later! How cool is that?! She was in Stockholm for the day with her bf so I met up with them after work with Keah and Noor and Cosima and a few other people. It was so nice to see her again, as it's been a year since we saw each other last. <3
Today will be spent cleaning and stuff, my room has never been so messy as it is now and it's stressing me out. I want a nice, clean, neat room again...
Tonight I may go out with friends again^^ as per usual..
So as you can see. It's been a busy week. But that's how I like my life to be. Running on 100 mph, or I'll get too restless and depressed.
