"Me Tarzan, you Jane"

So on Tuesday last week, I spontaneously met up with Noor and her two Iranian cousins that are visiting with their parents.. Let me just say, it was an interesting meeting seeing as they barely speak English and neither Noor or I speak Farsi #languagebarriers.
It was hilarious though, they taught us the words "Salamati = cheers" and "Oily = excellent" but in our mind (Noor's and I) it had a completely different meaning, which we all had a good laugh about..

One of the cousins (they're brothers) is an engineer and showed me a restaurant that he had designed/was building in Iran. My question that followed was: "What city is this in?" "Iran" "Yes I know but what city, what town?" "Iran"... This proceded for about five minutes, until I said "What city, the capital?" "Near Teheran"... OMG, Talk about language barrier... Haha... We literally resolved to the "Me Tarzan, you Jane" form of communicating.. They were really nice guys though, and we all had a good time :)

Here's a pic of the happy crew..

This past Sunday I was invited over for dinner at Noor's dad's place with the fam, including cousins and aunt and uncle. It was nice, but dinner ended up being far later then we'd anticipated so I was home just past midnight and was exhausted..
When we first walked in though cousin on the right in the photo flashed me a huge smile and exclaimed "Oily!" We all burst out laughing.. It's pretty cool that despite there being a huge language barrier, we still manage to have inside jokes. HAHA.

As for the rest of the week? I went to work on Monday despite feeling a bit ill, but it got progressively worse so I stayed home yesterday and today.. Yesterday I slept a total of ca 17 hours straight. From midnight on Monday until 5 PM yesterday, for someone who has severe sleeping issues.. That is incredible :P I've slept some today too, but not as much... Nothing quite beats lying in bed and sleeping all day (on occasion, I'm far too restless to do that all the time) You guys know I'm always on the get go and hate missing out on fun activities.

On another "sad" note.. My bff Matilda is now on her honeymoon in Singapore and I'm gutted that I'm not there to show them around, but my mom is there so she can meet up with them :)

Pics from M's wedding, I love the dress that I wore.. I felt like a princess. :)
